Your images
IMGCutter processes images entirely inside your browser using WebAssembly. Your files are never transmitted to us, never stored on a server, and never seen by anyone but you. There is no upload step. If you disconnect from the internet after the page has loaded, the tools still work — which is the simplest way to confirm this for yourself.
Nothing on this page changes that. Whatever you decide about cookies, your images stay on your device.
Who is responsible
This site is run by Zoltan Tamas as an individual, not a company. That makes me the data controller for the little data described below. You can reach me through the contact page.
Personal data we hold: none
We do not operate user accounts, we do not ask for your name or email to use the tools, and we do not build profiles of visitors. There is no database of users because there is nothing to put in one.
Traffic statistics
To know which pages are worth writing and which are broken, the site measures traffic. Two tools do this, and they are deliberately not treated the same way, because they do not cost you the same thing.
Ahrefs Web Analytics — no cookies, no consent asked
Ahrefs Web Analytics records page views without setting cookies and without storing anything on your device. It does not track you between sites and does not build a profile of you. What it produces is counts: how many people opened a page, which site they came from, roughly which country and which browser. Because none of that identifies you, it runs for every visitor and there is nothing to opt in to.
Google Analytics — cookies, and only with your permission
Google Analytics is more detailed and more invasive: it sets cookies on your device and sends data to Google, including your IP address, which Google processes on servers in the United States under its own terms. For that reason it is switched off until you agree.
No Google Analytics code is loaded, and no cookie is set, unless you press Accept on the consent banner. Declining is a real refusal, not a delay — the script is never fetched at all. The legal basis is your consent, and nothing else.
You can change your mind at any time using Cookie settings in the footer. Withdrawing consent stops the collection and deletes the Google Analytics cookies already on your device. Google retains data already collected according to the retention window set on the property, which is at most 14 months.
Your decision itself is stored in your browser's local storage so that you are not asked on every page. That is a record of your choice, kept on your own device, and it is not sent anywhere.
Advertising
This site currently shows no advertising and loads no advertising code. If that changes, this page will be updated before any ads appear, and ad cookies will be covered by the same consent banner rather than slipped in quietly.
Your rights
Data protection law gives you rights to access, correct, delete, or object to the processing of personal data held about you. We want to be straightforward about how that applies here: we hold no personal data about you ourselves, so a request to us would return an empty result. There is nothing to hand back, correct, or erase.
Where those rights do bite is with Google, if you accepted analytics cookies, because Google is the one holding data. Withdrawing consent through the footer link stops that collection. You can also exercise your rights directly with Google, in particular through your Google account's ad and data settings.
You also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority if you think something here is being handled wrongly. I would rather you told me first, but the right is yours either way.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it.
