This is the case where local processing matters most. Uploading two hundred photographs to a web service means waiting for two hundred uploads and two hundred downloads; here the only cost is the encoding itself, and your images never leave the machine.

When the queue finishes, "Download all as ZIP" packages everything into one archive. The ZIP is built as a stream rather than assembled in memory, so a large batch will not exhaust the tab.

Frequently asked questions

Are my images uploaded to a server?

No. The conversion runs inside your browser using WebAssembly, so the image data never leaves your device. That also means there is no queue, no account, and no file size cap imposed by a server.

How many images can I process at once?

There is no hard limit, but very large batches of high-resolution photographs use a lot of memory. On a phone, batches of more than about fifty 12-megapixel images are worth splitting up.

Can I change the settings and re-run without re-adding the files?

Yes. Adjust anything in the settings panel and an "Apply changes" prompt appears, which re-processes the images already in the queue from their originals.

Can I convert several images at once?

Yes. Drop in as many files as you like — or a whole folder — and they are processed in parallel across your CPU cores. When they finish you can download them individually or grab everything as a single ZIP.
